As a painter; Castán tries to give shapes of his poems depicting the environment in the forms of dreams and fantasy, even through his paintings do not contain the same ironical sense which characterizes his written works, they can be considered as a chronicle of the human anxiety. The use of the strong contrast of colors and the spontaneity of his poetic point of view of the reality, expressed with so rhetorical plasticity between the painter who writes and the writer who paints trends to achieve the mixture of an infinite metha-language where the verb and the image are brought together due involve also the spectator in the artist’s world.
Has written articles and collaborations for magazines and newspapers in Mexico “Reforma” and “Sol de Mexico“, “La Nacion” in Argentina and “ A toda marcha” in United States.
